The area will be thoroughly disinfected before local anaesthetic injections are administered to the treatment area to make the procedure painless. A sterile micro blade is then used to separate the bands of fibrous connective tissue, allowing the skin to bounce back into a smoother appearance. After treatment the area will be cleaned and dressings applied.

The treatment results are permanent and usually from one session. If cellulite is extensive then it may be necessary to have another session as we can only treat around 10 depressions per session.

After treatment there may be slight redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness or itching in the area. Ice packs can be applied to the treated area to reduce the swelling.

Paracetamol can be taken for any discomfort after treatment, but avoid anti-inflammatory pain killers such as ibuprofen.

You must not expose the area to intense heat such as sunbathing, sunbeams, saunas etc. for at least 48 hours after, as well as heavy exercise.

It is recommended to wear a compression garment for the first 48 hours.

Stay well hydrated by drinking 2 litres of water a day and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

To minimise the chances of bruising it is best to avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E, or any other blood-thinning medication 1 week prior to your appointment. Alcohol and caffeine can also contribute to bruising so it is best to avoid these 24-48 hours before also. Arnica tablets can be taken up to 5 days before your appointment to help prevent bruising.

Two days before your appointment avoid waxing and topical products such as retinol, Tretinoin and glycolic acids on the area to be treated.

Please arrive to your appointment with clean, make-up free skin and ensure you are hydrated and are not on an empty stomach. We also recommend that you arrive in baggy clothing to avoid discomfort on the area afterwards.

We also recommend buying some compression garments for the treated area such as Spanx to get the best results from the treatment and arrive wearing loose clothing.

You are not suitable for this treatment if you are under the age of 18, pregnant or breastfeeding, have soft cellulite, are allergic to local anaesthetic, have an infection in the area, have a blood disorder, or have a history of keloid scarring.
