Salt and saline is a popular method of permanent make-up removal that lightens and lifts pigments that have been implanted in the skin during PMU procedures such as microblading. This treatment will lighten brows enough for correction work, but will not fully remove pigment. During the procedure a saline solution is inserted into the skin with a specialist tattoo machine. The area will then scab over as it heals and the pigmentation will become lighter gradually. On average 3-6 sessions are required.
